Beach Wedding Favors Are Great For a Summer Wedding

Beach Wedding Favors Are Great For a Summer Wedding

If you are planning asummer wedding, you'll find that beach wedding favors are a great way to have some fun, whether you are getting married steps away from the ocean or somewhere that is completely landlocked. Lots of people have great memories of the beach, and when you are thinking about creating some great memories as well as throw a wedding bash that no one is going to forget, take some time and see what kind of beach wedding favors are going to be right for your reception. This can be a terrific way to get everyone in the mood for some great times. When you think of the beach, there is a good chance that you think of collecting shells along the beach as a small child. Shells are lovely, sweet and sure to be treasured as lovely mementos from your big day. Take some time consider what kind of shells you want to give out. You can look for larger conch shells or periwinkle shells to hand out, or you may choose to fill small glass vials with tiny shells that you can get by the pound.

Colorful Classic Wedding Color Palettes

Colorful Classic Wedding Color Palettes

Lime/Navy/White: I love this for a summer or fall wedding! It is crisp and jaunty, great for a wedding at a yacht club, country club, or in a tent. The navy is dignified and elegant, the lime green adds a fresh burst of color, and the fresh white ties it all together. This is a particularly easy color palette around which to design a wedding. Think navy blue faille bridesmaid dresses worn with pearl tin cup necklaces (as the bridesmaid gifts), green hydrangeas, and navy suits with lime and navy stripes for the guys. Patterns that look especially nice in this palette are stripes, damasks, and nautical motifs.
Pink/Kelly Green/Slate: For a dyed in the wool preppy bride, what could beat the ultimate color palette of pink and Kelly green? A touch of slate gray will help to anchor the exuberant color combination and make it a bit more elegant. With a color palette this preppy, you would be well within your rights to choose an alligator motif to engrave on the top of your wedding invitations! For the bouquets, choose lush white and pink peonies tied up with a green and pink grosgrain stripe ribbon. Slate suits on the men with pink and green patterned ties will be handsome and preppy. What patterns look best in this palette? Argyle (for the wedding cake!), stripes, polka dots, and playful motifs like alligators and tennis racquets or feminine ones like flowers.
Red/Black/White: This is a timeless color palette with a lot of drama. Red, black, and white work well for a wedding at any time of the year except perhaps the spring. Instead of the expected red roses, consider other crimson blossoms such as fat round dahlias. Or opt for white anemones with black centers and tie them with a red ribbon. Deep red bridesmaid dresses in silk shantung would be elegant (and a bit more understated than red satin). Naturally, the men would wear classic black tie or black suits with white shirts and ties with red accents for a daytime wedding (just no black shirts worn with white ties, please!). Patterns to consider include florals, jacquards, or whimsical polka dots.
