Looking For Halloween Wedding Cakes?

Looking For Halloween Wedding Cakes?

What flavor is a Halloween cake? Candy flavored of course. Halloween is the first of the chocolate holidays so fill your cake with a creamy chocolate mousse or rich chocolate ganache. If you have a favorite candy bar, talk with your baker, they may be able to recreate the flavor or add bits of this favored bar in the filling or the icing. If candy corn is your favored seasonal candy, you can have your towering cake shaped to look like the candy cone and icing in yellow, orange, and white. A little too much? Just have some candy corn decorating the outside of your cake.

Much of the decor for a wedding is based on the centerpieces. For evening, height is key to add a dramatic flair. Tall vessels will add instant drama to your reception venue. When your guests enter the room, they should definitely be wowed! The actual design of the centerpieces could be almost anything, as long as it is chic and sophisticated. Flowers like roses and orchids would be wonderful; daisies and mums, not so hot for a nighttime soiree. A great way to add sparkle to your centerpieces is to bedeck them with crystals. This looks so pretty for brides who are wearing crystal bridal jewelry sets. You could suspend a single huge teardrop shape crystal inside the middle of a clear glass vase and top with red roses. Or string strands of sparkling crystals over the top of a large floral display. Crystals could even fill the base of a clear vase. The more sparkle, the better!

One couple had a square wedding cake that had two swans swimming on a pond on top of it, all made out of icing. It was a very elaborate cake, with ribbons and flowers adorning it as well. However, it was only one layer, so some people may not want a cake like this.
Another unique wedding cake one couple had was a "Shrek" cake. This couple must have been big fans of the movie, because their cake was all about the movie, including the Shrek and Princess Fiona figurines on top of the cake! This wedding cake had two layers, and on the bottom layer had an icing design of Donkey and the dragon, the other couple in the Shrek movies!
